Property Point graduate, and founder and CEO of Integrico, Letty Ngobeni, has been named Business Woman of Year in the Entrepreneur category of the Gauteng regional finals of the 2017 SA Women in Property Awards presented by RICS and the Women’s Property Network. Property Point, a Growthpoint Properties initiative, is transforming the South African economy and society by building sustainable small businesses working in the property industry. Ngobeni is a graduate of its enterprise and supplier development programme. The Gauteng regional awards were presented on 31 August 2017, and the national winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Johannesburg in October. Growthpoint posts forecast-beating distribution growth and achieves key strategic successes

Growthpoint Properties today posted distribution growth of 6.9% per share for its half-year to 30 June 2017, taking its full-year distribution growth to 6.5% per share and delivering results ahead of its market guidance. Growthpoint increased its annual distributions 10.4%, paying R5.6bn to shareholders this financial year. It also made significant strategic progress, boosting its international exposure to 30.0% of its asset value of R122.3bn, assembling a portfolio of assets for its new Healthcare Fund and receiving income from its new Trading and Development business for the first time. Norbert Sasse, CEO of Growthpoint Properties, attributes the positive results to a good performance from Growthpoint’s investments as a whole, along with new income streams introduced this year. Habitat for Humanity and UN-Habitat host land and housing policymakers and practitioners from across Africa Pretoria, 15 August 2017 – Habitat for Humanity’s Solid Ground Campaign in association with the Urban CSO Cluster of the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) of UN-HABITAT are hosting a conference in Pretoria, August 15-17, 2017. The event will focus on land governance and management in Africa. Land is integral to securing shelter, agriculture for food security, mobilising investments and for the sustainable management of resources.
